Agreement for JASSM for F-16 signed
The contract has been signed on December 11th in 31st Tactical Air Base in Krzesiny by the Chief of the Armament Inspectorate, Brig. Gen. Sławomir Szczepaniak. It comprises JASSM missiles, measure-control and testing tools necessary for integrating F-16 with the missile, F-16 upgrade to the newest version as well as training for pilots and ground crew.
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak conveyed thanks - through Secretary of State in MOD Czesław Mroczek and Chief of the Armament Inspectorate Brig. Gen. Szczepaniak - to everybody who contributed to the possibility of concluding the contract in such a short time. - It was very hard work. Polish pilots of F-16 deserve special words of recognition as they proved with their service that they are the best. We will be proud to hand over new armament for F-16 to them - Minister Siemoniak stressed.
U.S. Ambassador Steve Mull, present in Krzesiny noted that the contract is a proof of confidence U.S. has in its Polish allies and that is why all the necessary procedures have been finished within seven months. He stressed it is an important day in allied relations.
