Deputy Defence Minister Visits Qatar

On Monday, 3 October, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence, Tomasz Szatkowski, paid a visit to Qatar, where he met with the Vice-Minister of State for Defence Affairs and Military Cooperation, General Abdullah Jumaan, and Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Major General Pilot Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.

The main theme of the talks was bilateral military cooperation. The Undersecretary of State, Tomasz Szatkowski, thanked for the Qatari contribution in the fight against international terrorism within the framework of the Global Coalition and for the support of Polish soldiers participating in the Inherent Resolve operations.

The participants of the meeting talked over ways of developing cooperation in the area of military education, common exercises, and exchange of experiences in respect to actions in regions affected by crisis. Both parties confirmed their will to enhance cooperation in their defense industries.

Undersecretary of State Tomasz Szatkowski invited General Abdullah Jumaan to visit Poland.
