Ministers of defense in Lublin
During the meeting the ministers signed an agreement on trilateral cooperation within the Brigade.
- Lublin is a city where historical events taking place (...) and such event taking place here and today. Both, the signing of the agreement (...) and the transfer of the flag of Hetman the Great Lithuanian and Prince of Poland to this brigade (...) creates the unity of our nations and it is an example, a source pointing toward our nations are moving - said Minister Antoni Macierewicz during the ceremony. We aim to theunity and mutual help against all enemies. Today We want to help and we will help Ukraine attacked by the Eastern imperialism - added the Polish MOnD. Towards cooperation that creates a peaceful future and a good future for our nations - stressed Minister Macierewicz.
During the press conference, Minister Antoni Macierewicz referred to the agreement signed by ministers - Since today, this brigade will be able to take part in any peace mission within what is need, when peace is threatened. I am very grateful to the Ministers for their presence and the governments of Lithuania and Ukraine for the acceptance of this decision, which will have a historic significance for our future - said Minister Macierewicz.
- The Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade also received the flag and was named after Hetman Konstanty Ostrogski on Thursday in Lublin. The new patron of the Brigade, Hetman Konstanty Ostrogski, was the Commander of the Polish-Lithuanian Forces in the war with Russia and also commander during the victorious battle of Orsza in 1514.
