Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense of Poland Tomasz Szatkowski, paid a visit to Berlin on the 3rd of April where he met his counterpart, Defense Policy Director in the Defense Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany Géza von Geyr.

They discussed the cooperation to implement the NATO Summit in Warsaw decisions, as well as the resolutions of the last meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.

The talks dealt with, among others, Poland and Germany engagement in the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) of the Alliance, cooperation in the Concept of the Framework Countries of the Multinational Division North-East Headquarters in Elbląg and further strengthening of the Multinational Corps North-East in Szczecin, with particular emphasis on the role of these structures for the region security.

Undersecretary T. Szatkowski informed about the Poland’s openness with regard to the CSDP further development, assuming its non-competitiveness towards NATO.

During the meeting, also the bilateral military cooperation issues were discussed, including the development of the land forces cooperation.
