The delegations were headed by: Mr Jakub Landovský - Deputy Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic, mr Robert Ondrejcsák – State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic and Mr Tamás Vargha – State Secretaryin the Ministry of Defence of Hungary.
Ministers discussed the perspectives of the Visegrad Group cooperation in the framework of NATO and EU. They debated on the further adaptation of NATO (including the reform of the command structure) as well as the implementation of the decisions taken at the Warsaw NATO Summit. Our partners confirmed their active support of the initiatives strengthening NATO’s eastern flank.
Ministers also deliberated on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), the European Global Strategy implementation in CSDP and the preparation of the V4 Battle Group 2019.
Undersecretary Szatkowski briefed his guests on the Strategic Defence Review aimed to outline the Republic of Poland’s defence strategy in the coming years.
V4 vice ministers visited the Land Operations Centre - Land Component Command where they got acquainted with the tasks and structure of the Command.
The V4 Senior Body meeting was preceded by the V4 modular force seminar.
